In July, Location 1 closed for 1 month to remodel, focusing on delivery, forcing customers to check out the new larger dine in location. Grumpa visited to oversee.

September 16th, the first Conan heir & future North owner Chris W, was born. He was immediately put to work, supervising the finish out of the next location.

Location 6 at 4923 NW Loop 410 in San Antonio opens on January 12th, the 1st location outside of Austin!

After more than 2 years, the Conans Pizza trademark was finally registered with the US Patent Office on July 27th, and all prior logo versions were phased out in time.

July 13th, Carly was born, and immediately put to work, supervising the construction of our new warehouse building at 1912 Smith Rd, to centrally supply all 6 locations.

After winning the '83 lawsuit locally, Conans Properties, Inc appealed to the 5th Circuit. On February 4th, the mixed verdict was in! A fascinating case; 'twas taught at UT for decades.

On February 5th, Location 2 relocated less than 1 mile away, to a brand new shopping center at 2439 E Riverside. On March 6th, Location 7 opened at 7010 Hwy 71 W in Oak Hill.

Location 8 opens at 13492 Research Blvd in Anderson Mill on June 18th. This was our peak, with 8 stores, for a few months...

On July 19th, Conans turned 10, and celebrated the anniversary with a staff party at Commons Ford Ranch.

October 5th, we closed our 1st location for good, the San Antonio store. It made it 4.75 years. This picture was taken at the Conans booth at Kissworld.

November 10th, Chad was born, basically with a full head of golden locks. It wouldn't be too long, until he was put to work.

For a moment in time, Conans almost sold out. This offer, had a deal been done, would be worth $7 million today (adjusted for inflation). But no we didn't.

Until now, we only offered Deep Pan pies. In '87, thin crust pizza was added to the menu for the first time.

Two locations shutter in August. Location 2.2 Riverside was falling off the hill, literally, closed up on the 3rd. Location 7 Oak Hill followed 2 weeks later on the 17th. Both only 1.5 years old.

The November issue of Pizza Today lists Conans as the #25 operation nationwide. That was nice of them.
